I am currently working on a mural at 47th and baltimore Ave in philadelphia. It is really two murals that face each other across a parking lot. The mural is a kind of composite representation of the neighborhood. the center of the first wall is a large group of people from the neighborhood in front of the 1980's era murals that used to be on these walls. I have painted over them with permission from the original artist. Out of respect for the old murals and their place in the psyche of the nieghborhood, I have included them in my mural. surrounding the central scene are 4 vignettes of architecture in the immediate vicinity.
I have a show of drawings, some of the ones posted below, at the Ruth Daneman Salon on Passyunk Ave in South Philly. The show is up until October 12th, 2007. The Salon is open Wednesday to Saturday, 11-6. Thanks everybody who came to the opening!
My good friend David Ebenbach chose this painting of mine, titled "Miscommunication", for the cover of his first book, "Between Camelots" Its a great book- a collection of short stories that won the Drew Hienz Prize.
Stinking Lizaveta chose this painting of mine to be the cover for their new album. A real honor. I worked on the lettering with them also. Check out their music- I've got a link to them on this page.
